According to Wikipedia the Doberman is a medium-large breed of domestic dog that was first developed around 1890 by Louis Dobermann, a tax collector from Germany. The Dobermann is known for its muzzle. It stands on its pads and is not typically heavy-footed, and they often have an even and graceful gait. Traditionally, the ears are cropped and posted and the tail is docked. Dobermans have distinctive markings on the chest, paws/legs, above the eyes, muzzle and underneath the tail.

Dobermanns are known to be quite intelligent, alert, and very loyal companions and guard dogs. Their personality varies, but, if taken care of and properly trained, they are generally considered to be very loving and extremely loyal companions. The Dobermann is driven, strong, and can sometimes be a bit stubborn. With a consistent and patient approach, Dobermans can be easy to train and can be quick to learn.
